I'm excited to merge my consultancy with HueLife, a human capital firm that helps organizations, teams and communities engage, collaborate, innovate and change for the greater good. Hue stands for human understanding and engagement, essential elements for high-performing environments... and yet these can elude even the best of us during times of change, uncertainty and conflict. At HueLife, our certified facilitators, trainers and consultants use a blend of contemporary and time-tested participatory methods, organizational psychology, story-telling and emotional awareness techniques to tap into group wisdom, from small teams to entire organizations. HueLife services include:
Please let me know if we can help you or someone you know! I'd love to see how we might work together... or just catch up! Note: HueLife also recently acquired MNToP, the nation's primary provider of ToP facilitation training and services. The multi-part merger is underway and our new website will soon be unveiled! Stay tuned. THE BACKSTORY (OR SERIOUSLY, WHY DON'T WE ALL KNOW ABOUT THIS?) A few years ago, I started developing my own approach to help organizations tackle a myriad of challenges with four common elements: communication, content, culture and change. I was driven by frustration with both old and new methods that were too rigid or overly complex, and often significantly underplayed the human element. Plus many methods contain faulty, disingenuous assumptions. I know because I'm guilty of using them. For example, asking people to participate in "buy-in" sessions, where choice and input really aren't options. In researching anthropological, psychological, OD and behavioral approaches, I discovered participatory methods. These are not new, but for me, they opened up the world in a magical way. At the risk of sounding like a person in love: participatory methods are what the world needs. With endless applications, they help people:
Even better, the methods are relatively easy to learn and use. (Why didn't I hear about these in grade school or college or therapy?) And these methods easily integrate and enhance other programs, such as Baldridge, NPS, Agile, PMI, etc. I learned the methods by taking the ToP Facilitation courses now provided by HueLife. I've been in the ToP Facilitation Mastery program for the past year, and I'm still amazed at what a difference these methods make for individuals, teams and organizations. And my clients are too. During my study, HueLife became my client... and now I'm joining the team. I'm so grateful to have found this great group of colleagues and friends on a mission: To educate, facilitate and inspire engagement in meaningful action for the greater good of communities and organizations. (Let me know if you like these posts. If there's interest, I'll continue sharing, including info on participatory methods, history and use.)
